Casual FOH was recorded in 2011 from a small shed in Balaena Bay, Wellington. The single recalls Daniel's 1980's childhood as he ate dinners and ice creams at his family's restaurant. During these times his parents maintained the dining atmosphere through various cassette tapes.

Daniel sites these cassettes as the inspiration for these recordings, using casiotone technology to channel the energy of such artists as Giorgio Moroder, Louis Clark's Hooked on Classics and his Ex-Yugoslav namesake 'Daniel'. What results is an artless blend of 70's disco and 80's pop music generated from an early 21st century outlook.
